Thomas John Andrjwski (80) born March 13, 1942 son of Joseph P and Vera Andrjwski passed peacefully on December 22, 2022 at his home with family by his side.
After graduating from Ursuline High School in 1961,Tom proudly joined the U. S. Navy. He was assigned to the special weapons unit in Pensacola Florida then ordered to the U.S.S Wasp CVS18 aviation ordinance special weapons unit. His last duty station was the U.S.S Intrepid. Tom was an active member of the Salem Amvets Post 45 Honor Guard and took special pride in making keepsake boxes for the 21 gun salute shells and keepsake flag boxes for families. He also was a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society singing with the Salem Jubilee Chorus, the Akron Derbytown Barbershop Chorus and their Gospel Harmony group. In addition, he was an active member at Saint Ann's Catholic Church. He enjoyed working at the Canfield Fair, driving school bus for West Branch, driving tour buses, and working at the Robert Bycroft Sheltered Workshop where he was able to share his love of woodwork with others. He loved spending his days in his woodshop and spending time with his grandchildren and family. Tom will be forever remembered for his witty personality, humor and selflessness.
Besides his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother and three sisters. He leaves behind his wife of 56 years Rosemarie (Semai) Andrjwski, daughters Bernice Matuazak, Brenda (Keith) Chilton, and Paula (Jim) Willock along with six grandchildren and one sister Jean Symbolik.
Friends and family may join the family to celebrate his life on Wednesday Dec. 28 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home at 126 W Vermont Ave Sebring, OH 44672. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Dec. 29 at 8:30 AM. Final interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery for Veterans at 11:00 AM.
