Virginia Bowden (Carter) Haynes

Virginia Lucille Bowden Haynes, 94 of Salem passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Salem Regional Medical Center. Virginia ws born in Union, WV on July 19, 1923 the daughter of the late George W. and Bessie (Bland) Carter. She enjoyed reading the paper keeping up with what was going on and watching TV but she will be remembered best by her always saying her favorite phrase "I Will".

She is survived by her daughter Vonda Crane of Salem with whom Virginia lived for many years, a son Sidney Bowden Jr. of Pomona, CA. Her 8 grandchildren Steffie, Tony, David (all of California), Dale Ritchie, Cheryl Ritchie, John Ritchie Jr. Doug Ritchie and Darla Rand. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her 7 siblings.
