James Allard Obituary

James (Pete) Halsey Allard Jr. 70, our beloved brother, passed away on March 4, 2019 after a long struggle with COPD. Jim was preceded in death by our parents James Halsey Allard Sr. and Pauline Chick Allard. He is survived by siblings Jeff Allard, Judy Ryan, Jenny (Scott) Marlow, Jean (Tom) Sisky, Jack and Jill; nieces and nephews Christie, Jaclyn, Eric and Michael and six great nieces and nephews.

Jim began his career with The Red Cross in Cleveland then St. Petersburg Florida and transitioned into Emergency Medical Services as a trainer with the police and fire academies. He then enjoyed a 35 year career in the hotel industry with Red Roof Inns and La Quinta Inns.

Memorial donations may be made in Jim’s name to The Red Cross, PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037 or The Dixon Center for Militrary and Veterans Services, Fedcap Group, 633 3rd Ave. 6th Floor, New York, NY 10017. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Salem, 330-337-6363.
