Deane Lewis Allison

Deane L. Allison, age 92 passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Alliance Community Hospital in Alliance, Ohio. Deane was born on January 22, 1926 in Chester, WV. to the late Donald and Ethel (Yonally) Allison. Deane moved from East Liverpool to Alliance in 1959 and worked for Tire Mart and then worked as a mechanic at Lavery Chevrolet before moving to Illinois. While in Illinois he worked as a Highway Commissioner for 30 years before retiring. Deane served in the United States Army serving in World War II. He was a member of Beechwood United Methodist Church and enjoyed traveling and camping.

Survivors include a daughter Margaret Garrison of Alliance; a son Robert Deane (Cathy) Allison of Marietta, GA.; 9 grandchildren Deanette, Clara, Sarah, Teresa, Tony, James Lea Ann, Shona and Sarah; 18 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; three brothers Errett Allison of Chester, WV., Elbert (Darlene) Allison of Chester, WV. and Myron (Chris) Allison of Stowe. Besides his parents Deane was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Allison who passed away on March 31, 2012; a daughter Cheryl, three sisters, two brothers and two son-in-laws.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home at 2:30 PM with Rev. David Parry officiating. Friends and family may call from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Friends may view the obituary and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
