Stanley Watson Miller

September 3, 1947 ~ June 17, 2016 (age 68) 68 Years Old

     Stanley Watson Miller, 68, of Salem passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  Stanley was born in East Liverpool on September 3, 1947 the son of the late Clyde and Goldie (Wallace) Miller.  He was a US Army veteran and worked as a Deputy Clerk for Columbiana County Court.  Mr. Miller was a member of Salem First United Methodist Church, Salineville Masonic Lodge, Amvets, Vietnam Vets, was a Cub Scout master and was a past member of Ruritans and Lions. He enjoyed sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Cavs, and gardening.  Stan was a good dad and husband, and his greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce (Wade), whom he married on February 6, 1971, his son Richard (Lorraine) Miller; three grandchildren Ashley Dawson, Alexis Miller, and Alivia Miller.  He is also survived by his sister Shelba (Gary) Malone.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Larry C. Miller.

A funeral service will be held at 4 PM on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. P. Douglas George, officiating.  Visitation will be held from 1-4 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Stan’s honor to the Disabled Veterans, P.O. Box 96262 Washington DC., 20090.
