Souren O Bourgoujian

Souren O. Bourgoujian, 84 of Beloit passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center. Souren was born in Massena, NY on Septmeber 5, 1931 the son of the late Krekor and Sema (Stambolian) Bourgoujian. He was a graduate of Massena High School, a US Navy Veteran where he served as a Quartermaster 3rd Class and worked at American Steel where he retired in 1997. He enjoyed watching baseball, bird watching, was a pole vaulter but most of all spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughter Chris Ann (Richard) Twaddle of Sebring, son Andrew Bourgoujian of the home, sister Clara (Gary) Wright, four grandchildren, Nicole, Richard, Zane and Alex Twaddle, three great-grandchildren Gary Powell, Maggie Twaddle and Nora Hamon.   Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Joan, step mother Margaret (Ohanesian) and a brother Adam.

A funeral service will take place at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Lynn Moore officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Souren’s honor to National Alliance for Mental Illness c/o Consumers National Bank, 7985 Dickey Drive, Lisbon, OH 44432.
