Patricia Gail Bashore

Patricia G. Bashore passed away on November 18, 2016 at home at Copeland Oaks Retirement Community, in the presence of her family. Pat was born on November 28, 1939 in Detroit, Mi. to Mary and Edward Zielke. She graduated from Pontiac Central High School in 1957. Pat Earned a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Ferris State University in 1961. She married Dick, the love of her life, on August 23, 1958. Pat was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to those who knew her.

She was the mother of Viki (John), Amy, Michael, and David (Brigitte). Sister of Sharyn, grandmother to Justin (Lauren), Jordan (Erich), Jannan, Josh, Julie, Mason, Cameron and Parker; aunt to Betsy (Rob), Kirk (Donna), Jennifer (Andrew), Tony (Bonnie), Tracey (Bill), Lionel (Jackie), Kristina (John) and Michael. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, sons Michael and David and grandson Mason.

While living in Hudson, Ohio for 35 years, Pat was a tireless advocate for children with learning disabilities in the Hudson school system. She was a working partner in The Perfect Answer Gift Shoppe in Hudson for 5 years. Pat was a member of the Hudson United Methodist Church and served in many capacities for the church. She was instrumental in starting HUMC preschool nursery and was the treasurer for several years. She was a wonderful Sunday school teacher for many years. Pat was very talented in many ways with special talent as an artist.

A celebration of life will be held at Copeland Oaks Bennett Chapel in Sebring, Oh. on December 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. David Parry officiating. The family would like to thank the PCU nursing staff at Alliance Community Hospital and the Hospice of the Valley staff for their outstanding care of Pat.
