Krista Leigh (Stone) Dowd

Krista Leigh Dowd, 65 of Alliance passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at The Cleveland Clinic. Krista was born on October 12, 1952 in Alliance the daughter of the late Dewaine W. and Bertha (Sanor) Stone. She retired from West Branch Local Schools as a Cook and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, enjoyed riding her scooter, reading, cross word puzzles and relaxing on her porch. But most important to her was spending time with her family especially watching her grandson Logan's sports, attending his pedal tractor pulls and playing with her dog Molly.

Survivors include her husband Donald "Red" Dowd of Alliance, a son Luke (Alisa Saltsman) Dowd, a grandson Logan Dowd, her sister Becky (Nelson) Burnell, mother in law Irene Dowd. She is also survived by two nephews Matthew (Melissa) Johnston, Benjamin (Michelle) Johnston and a cousin Janet Stone. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother David Stone and her father in law Joe Dowd.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home at 7:00 PM with Pastor Mike Kimball Officiating. Friends and Family will be received the hour prior to the service on Sunday.
