Josephine Louise (Rocci) Scarpitti

Josephine L. Scarpitti, 95, of Sebring passed away at Crandall Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, December 3, 2017. Josephine was born in Pittsburgh, PA on February 17, 1922, the daughter of the late Carmine and Assunta (Iacobucci) Rocci. She retired as a cook from Sebring Local Schools. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and was a Caring Friend at Crandall Rehabilitation Center. Josephine was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church where she participated in many church activities including the Altar and Rosary Society.

Survivors include her 8 children; Suzanne Scarpitti, James (Melody) Scarpitti, Christina (Michael) Plaks, Barbara (Terry) Leggett, David (Laurie) Scarpitti, Joseph (Nancy) Scarpitti, Paul Scarpitti, and John (Kathy) Scarpitti. She is also survived by 14 Grandchildren; Shawna Scarpitti, Michael Scarpitti, Gina Peruski, Mallory Plaks, Joseph Hettler, Nikki Scarpitti, David Scarpitti, Dan Scarpitti, Maria Scarpitti, Sarah Scarpitti, Joey Scarpitti, Erica Scarpitti, Nick Scarpitti, and Carly Scarpitti; 3 Great Grandchildren Indigo, Skylar, River and 3 Sisters; Evelyn Kennedy Commentucci, Clara Alesius, and Corrine Bradley. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl A. Scarpitti in 1995 and 2 brothers Salvatore Rocci and Vincent Rocci.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church with Father Thomas Dyer officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown funeral home from 2:30 PM till 4:30 PM. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit. In lieu of flowers the family would like contributions made in Josephine's honor to the Life Care Fund c/o Copeland Oaks, 800 South 15th Street Sebring, Ohio 44672.
