James Lee Eberling Sr., 82 of Sebring, passed away on November 24, 2016 at Alliance Community Hospital.  James was born in Alliance, Ohio on July 16, 1934, the son of the late Ellis Eberling & Samantha (Freed) and stepson to John Manning. James worked for 17 years in the Brickyard, 31 years at American Steel, retiring in 1997 and then continued to work 16 more years at DP Operations.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking, baking and garage sales.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years Dorothy Louise (Hickman) whom he married on September 4, 1953; eight children, Sandra (Bobby) Shell, Deborah Hoerig (Dave), Sharon (Jeff) Hawkins, James (Georgia) Eberling Jr., David Eberling (Gail), Tracey (Clayton) Reakes, Susan (Mike) Snode, Mark (Melissa) Eberling; 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by one sister Shirley (Homer) Long; three brothers, John (Jean) Manning, June Eberling and Clifford (Carol) Eberling. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Ginny Anderson and Edna Weekly.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 1:30 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home with Rev. James White officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park.
