Grace Edna Smith

Grace Edna Smith, 94 of Alliance passed away on November 15, 2015 at her home. She was born May 14, 1921 to the late John and Francis (Mann) Myers in Shanesville, Ohio. Grace was a Birth Right Member of Alliance Friends Church and a graduate of Malone University formerly known as Cleveland Bible College with a degree in Theology. She was a proud alumni of Malone University and would always donate to help the school and her church.

Grace is survived by three daughters Candi (Tom) Fritsch, Judy (Ed) Smith Felton Kibler, Jeanette (Tom) Smith Tanner; a son James Paul (Ann) Smith Jr.; a sister Rella (James) Ramsey; a brother John (Hilda) Myers; 14 grandchildren Natalie Hardy, Valerie (Michael) McGrath, Nathan (Sarah) Fritsch, Pamela Fritsch, Krista (Steven) Siefken, Melody Felton, Nicole Kibler, Andrew (Maria) Fritsch, Jacob (Hannah) Smith, Ben Smith, Allen (Tracy) Kibler, Lorena Kibler, Dan (Stephanie) Tanner, David (Kelly) Tanner; 27 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents John and Sylvia Myers she was preceded in death by her husband J. Paul Smith, three sisters Lillian Hicks, Wilda Royer and Thelma Smith.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday November 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Alliance First Friends Church with Pastor Rick Sams officiating.  Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a charitable contribution in Grace’s name to Malone University at 2600 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton, Ohio 44709 or to Alliance First Friends Church, 1307 W.
