Betty Jane (Weimer) Murtha

Betty J. Murtha, 93 of Sebring passed away at her home on Saturday October 22, 2016.  Betty was born in Sebring on December 26, 1922 the daughter of the late Fred and Gladys (Wright) Weimer. She retired as the Owner/Operator of Trianon Bar and Restaurant in 1972. Betty was a member of the VFW Aux. #6730, American Legion Aux. #76, she attended the Sebring Presbyterian Church, enjoyed traveling, playing cards and table games.

Survivors include her husband John “Jack” Murtha whom she married on June 25, 2009 of Sebring, a daughter Betty Henson of Sebring, daughter Connie Crowe of Alliance, a son William Devine of Alliance, Step-Children; James A. Murtha of Lynchburg, VA, Betty Newburg of Elwood City, PA, Barbara A. Wax of Orlando, FL, 16 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her step-son Thomas Murtha, her brothers; Paul and Fred Weimer and her first and second husbands.
