Alice Leverta (Barker) Ray

Alice Leverta Ray, 63 of Alliance, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Aultman Hospital. Alice was born in Alliance on September 29, 1952 the daughter of the late Glen Ernest and Gladys Marie (Dowdy) Barker Sr. She enjoyed the outdoors, drawing, but most importantly,  spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, L. David (Katrina) Poppino of Salem, Bamala Poppino of Alliance, Harold Poppino of Canton; five grandchildren Alicia (Chris) Lab, Tiffani A. Poppino, David Veneri, Zachary Poppino, Amber Poppino and two great-grandchildren Landyn Carte and Bentley Veneri. She is also survived by a brother Larry Franklin Barker Sr. of Florida and a sister Maryann Miller of Alliance.  Besides her parents Alice was preceded in death by her husband Floyd on December 20, 2000, a brother Glenn E. Barker Jr., sisters Debra Barker, Georgene Burton, and Della Sellers.

A funeral service will take place at 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home. Friends may call the two hours prior to the service from 6-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
