Anabel Herold

Anabel Herold, 86, of Beloit passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at her home. Anabel was born on January 6, 1926 in Beloit, the daughter of the late Harry C. and Charlotte "Lottie" (Barber) Haberland. She was a clerk at the Quaker City IGA, a member of the Pine Lake Church of Christ, the George D. Worth Auxiliary Post # 574 and Damascus Area Garden Club. She enjoyed traveling on bus tours, flowers, gardening, mowing her grass, baking, sewing, bird watching and was an avid Cleveland Indians Fan. Survivors include her son, Jim (Vicki) Herold of Beloit, daughter Joyce (George) McKeown of Salem; eight grandchildren Nikki McDorman, Carla Welling, Kimberly McKeown, Melinda McKeown, Lindsey Sanor, Tyler McKeown, Christina Herold and David Waffler; six great-grandchildren Allie Woolf, Luke Woolf, Mollie McDorman, Kamryn McDorman, Jensen Sanor and Michael Waffler. Anabel is also survived by a sister Edna Fryfogle and a brother Ron Whetstone. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Phillip O. Herold, a daughter Joanne (Herold) Waffler and a sister Mary Yoder. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday January 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Baker officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday January 2, 2013 from 6-8 PM. and one half hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park in Beloit. Memorial contributions may be made in Anabel’s honor to the National Parkinson Foundation 1501 N.W. 9th Avenue / Bob Hope Road Miami, Florida 33136-1494, American Cancer Society PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73123-1718 or Lifebanc PO Box 74174, Cleveland, OH 44194-4174.
