Lewis L. Armitage Sr., 88, of Beloit passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at his home. Lewis was born in Limaville, Ohio on May 27, 1924, the son of the late Chester and Olive (Greenawalt) Armitage. A 1943 graduate of Alliance High School, Lewis was the owner/operator of Greenawalt Plumbing for over 50 years. He was a lifetime member of the Knox Sportman’s Club and enjoyed traveling. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Anna Mae (Perkins) Armitage whom he married on June 29, 1947, two sons, Lewis (Lisa) Armitage Jr. of Pataskala, Ohio, Ron (Beverly) Armitage of Beloit, one grandchild Anna Marie (David) Doyle of Newport, Tennessee and a sister Betty Johnston of Alliance. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Tilly Barber and Pauline Miller. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Reich officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
