Domenick C. Vanetti

U.S. Veteran

Domenick C. Venetti, 93 of Alliance, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born in Sebring on November 20, 1919 the son of the late Domenick and Josephine (Solmon) Vanetti. He was a US Military Veteran and retired from J & L steel in Pennsylvania after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Sebring American Legion and VFW; he also enjoyed playing Bingo and Cards but especially spending time with his family. Survivors include his 4 children Janet Ward of Avella, PA, Rowene Sheets of Sebring, Barbara Stewart of Dover and a son Fred Smith of Alliance, 24 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a brother Lorin Kelly of Alliance. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Viola (Roadway) Vanetti on August 16, 2002, 2 children Isabelle Mellon and Roy Smith, 4 sisters and 2 brothers, 4 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. A Funeral will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Jacob Brooks officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
