U.S. Veteran

Robert L. Jordan, 86 of Sebring passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Alliance Community Hospital. Robert was born in Sebring on August 21, 1926 the son of the late James H. & Mary Katherine (Bennett) Jordan. Mr. Jordan was a US Army Veteran serving in WWII. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Alliance and various Masonic organizations. Survivors include his wife Dorothy Irene (Albert) Jordan of Sebring, two daughters Cathey Jordan of Canton and Connie Jordan of East Palestine; two sons Gary (Darlene) Jordan of Arizona and Douglas (Mary) Jordan of Sebring. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Violette Davis and a brother James Henry Jordan Jr. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11:00AM at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home with Rev. James McCurdy officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 PM on Sunday December 16, 2012 at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 4:30 PM. Burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Robert's honor to Alliance VNA/Hospice 885 S. Sawburg Ave. Ste. 106 Alliance, OH 44601. Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
