Robert L. Cline

Robert L. Cline, 80, of Alliance passed from this life to eternal life in Heaven at 9:01pm on Thursday, October 25, 2012. Mr. Cline was Maple Ridges 2nd oldest resident he was born on August 4, 1932 in Ravenswood, West Virginia, the son of the late Chessie and Joe Anderson. Robert instilled in his children and grand children a love for life, hard work and honesty. He took great pride in his work at Morgan Engineering as a welder for 33 years, often in our travels around the country Dad would show us his work on various cranes and pumpjacks. He served as maintenance at Blossom Nursing Home in Alliance for 10 years. Mr. Cline attended Sebring Friends Church and was a member of the Maple Ridge Ruritans. He was a big fan of George Jones, he could often be seen on the auction circuit looking for the best deal; he would often say, with a big smile on his face, that he got the best part of West Virginia, his wife Sylvia with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage on April 25, 2012. Survivors include his wife Sylvia J. (Willcoxen) Cline of the home, children Kathryn (David) Waltz of Canton, Edward (Jane) Cline of Marlboro, and Debra (Lee) Leininger of Hanoverton . He is also survived by grandchildren; Matthew and Nathan Cline of Colorado, Tim Waltz and Sarah Fayyaz of Canton, Adam McMichael of Hanoverton, Dakota Gooding of Leetonia and Eric Gooding of Alliance, great granddaughters Maggie and Makena of Colorado, one brother Henry Cline of Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia and two step sisters; Juanita Burk of Parkersburg West Virginia and Evelyn McGraw of Reedville, OH and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank all the Maple Ridge neighbors and Sebring Friends Church family for all the love, prayers and support you have given to our family during Robert’s illness, you have all made this most difficult time much more bearable. He will be deeply missed and eternally loved by his family. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 29th at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Pastor Quint Bryan officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
