Estill Homer “Pete” Rowe, 71 of Alliance passed away with his loving family by his side on Friday June 15, 2012 at Community Care Center in Alliance. Estill was born in Cattletsburg, Kentucky on May 25, 1941 the son of the late Homer and Ida (Laney) Rowe. Mr. Rowe was a truck driver, working for SARE Plastics, American Steel and also the Ravenna Arsenal. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed spending time with his boys on the porch, camping, traveling and helping others as much as he could. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Sue Ellen (Gandee) Rowe of Alliance whom he married on March 13, 1960, 5 children; Pamela Sue (Don) Bennett of Alliance, Kevin Estill (Tina) Rowe of Sebring, Fredrick Rowe of Alliance, Kenneth Rowe of Alliance, Nathan Charles Rowe of Alliance; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; four brothers, Sam Rowe of North Benton, William (Colleen) Rowe of Clarington, Ohio, Warren (Janet) Rowe of Brookfield, Pennsylvania, Charles (Tammy) Rowe of Thomasville, North Carolina; six sisters, Lavonia (Emil) Mathison of Marysville, Ohio, Ada (Willard) Stout of North Benton, Violet Landwert of Alliance, Mary (Steve) Settle of Hobe Sound, Florida, Joyce (Robert) Miller-Hicks of Aurora, Debra (Michael) Leonard of Bowling Green, Ohio. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday June 20, 2012 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Steve Settle officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
